The best cake base setup uses Lyleen for Planting, Jormuntide for Watering, Jormuntide Ignis for Kindling, and Verdash for Gathering/Transport. You also need the three ranch Pals: Mozzarina (Milk), Chikipi (Eggs), and Beegarde (Honey). Add Wumpo Botan to keep ingredients moving.

What passives should I use on worker Pals?
The endgame worker build is Artisan + Work Slave + Serious + Nocturnal. Artisan adds +50% work speed, Work Slave adds +30% (at the cost of -10% attack), Serious adds +20%, and Nocturnal keeps your workers active overnight.
The accessible build (no downsides) is Artisan + Serious + Lucky + Workaholic. It is slower than the endgame build but has no sanity or SAN penalties.
Is Anubis a good worker Pal?
Yes — Anubis is S-tier and one of the best all-round workers in the game. It has high-level Handiwork (crafting), Mining, and Transport suitabilities, meaning a single Anubis can fill three different jobs in a base. It is breedable, so you can get one without needing endgame access.
For the best Anubis worker build, use Remarkable Craftsmanship, Artisan, Work Slave, Serious. If Remarkable Craftsmanship is unavailable, substitute Nocturnal.
What is Remarkable Craftsmanship?
Remarkable Craftsmanship is a rare Pal-specific passive skill that grants an additional crafting action per work cycle — effectively giving the Pal double crafting output at a workbench. It is the strongest single passive for production and crafting bases and should be bred onto any Pal assigned to Handiwork.
You can obtain it by breeding Pals that naturally carry it, such as Anubis, Jormuntide Ignis, Lyleen, and Orserk.
Should workers have Nocturnal?
Nocturnal workers sleep during the day and are active at night. This is ideal for bases where you want production to continue while you are offline overnight. The max-speed build (Artisan + Work Slave + Serious + Nocturnal) takes advantage of this.
If you prefer workers that are always active during daytime play sessions, use the Workaholic or Serious variants instead — they do not force a night-only schedule.
